B.E. Hive Hair Salon, LLCClient: Erin Geyer and Barb Oschmann Application: Joomla CMS URL: http://www.behivehairsalon.com/ This site is set up as a business website using Joomla CMS. It is designed to serve as a static online storefront for the business, listing its services and fees. Joomla CMS was chosen to benefit the customer as it allows them to make updates and changes themselves from any browser. Ryan's Custom WoodworkingClient: Ryan Borgwardt Application: Joomla CMS URL: http://www.ryanscustomwoodworking.com/ This site is set up as a business website using Joomla CMS and featuring a shopping cart system powered by VirtueMart. The shopping cart system, in this case, is being used as an online catalog. This site is currently a work in progress, but is moving along quickly. W.D. Hoard & Sons Company — Print DivisionClient: Tim Garrant Application: Static HTML with Flash URL: http://www.hoardprinting.com/ This is a static website that is designed to offer information about the company's print division. This site was customized from a template purchased at TemplateMonster.com. A majority of the customization was spent with the Flash header — which had to be created in two versions so that the animation and music only played when first opening the site and not on every page after. Rainbow Hospice CareClient: Karen Carrig Application: Joomla CMS URL: http://www.rainbowhospicecare.org/ The first site I designed for Rainbow Hospice Care was a static website. But they quickly outgrew it and required a site in which they could make changes to their content on their own. I designed the template for this site from scratch, according to their specifications. Southern Wisconsin Paranormal Research Group (SWPRG)Client: Jennifer Lauer Application: Joomla CMS URL: http://www.paranormalresearchgroup.com/ This particular site is a classic example of how Joomla CMS can be put to use for a community-based website. This site allows people to register and join the community and offers a considerable amount of information about paranormal research. The client does all of the content changes and updates herself. Old Northwest VolunteersClient: Old Northwest Volunteers Application: Joomla CMS URL: http://oldnorthwestvols.org/onv/index.php The Old Northwest Volunteers (ONV) is considered one of the finest C/P/H (campaigner/progressive/hardcore) Civil War living history organizations in the country today. The primary use of this site is its bulletin board system; but it also offers information about membership and the organization, and is set up as a community-based site. The site includes an online forum, internal messaging, and photo gallery. Citizens of the Old NorthwestClient: Citizens of the Old Northwest Application: Joomla CMS URL: http://civilian.oldnorthwestvols.org/ This site utilizes a similar templat as that of the ONV's website, but with a different color scheme. It has the same features as the ONV's site. The Citizens of the Old Northwest is the independent civilian counter-part to the Old Northwest Volunteers. RustbeeterClient: Peter and Chris Spangler Application: Static HTML URL: http://www.rustbeeter.com/ Rustbeeter.com is a business website that was created as a static HTML site. It is updated frequently by the clients themselves via Adobe Contribute. Daily Jefferson County UnionClient: Diane Niemeyer Application: Static HTML URL: http://dailyunion.com/ This site was created as an online supplement to the print version of the newspaper. The site was kept simple and serviceable by design. Hoard's Dairyman MagazineClient: W.D. Hoard & Sons Company Application: Static HTML URL: http://www.hoards.com/ This site was created as a simple static HTML website because much of its traffic comes from rural areas where high-speed internet is not available. This is a basic business website that offers information that is updated twice a month to correspond with the magazine's publication. |
