Expert Photo Restoration
Every photograph is important. It's a visual record of a person or event that is forever held still in time. They show us what our ancestors looked like, how they dressed, and how they lived. They conjure up memories of places or events that were important to us.
However, photographic prints do not last forever. They succumb to the ravishes of time, environment, or disaster. They become cracked, torn, faded, and speckled with mildew or worse.
Fortunately, with the advent of digital technology and image editing software like Adobe Photoshop, these damaged photos can be digitally restored back to their original condition. The benefits of digital restoration include:
- The image is saved digitally and will be preserved indefinitely.
- Multiple prints can be produced with the digital file, so other family members can now have copies of their own.
- You can produce more copies or prints at any time in the future.
NOTE: Please be aware that my photo restoration service involves a digital (computer) restoration of your image, and not a physical restoration of the original photo. If you want to have an original photo physically restored, you will need to contact a photographic conservator. To locate a photo conservator near you, please contact your state's historical society. They should be able to direct you to the photo conservation studio that they use.
