Research & Development
The amount of time I will spend on the research and development of your website will greatly depend upon the amount of information you can offer me at the beginning of the process. Having a clear idea about what you want or don't want with regards to the content and features of your new site up front will greatly reduce the amount of time that will be spent gleaning the internet for inspiration. To put it simply, the more information you can give me in the beginning, the less expensive your site design will be in the end.
Research —
If you have absolutely no idea what it is you are looking for in a website, I find it beneficial to look at comparable websites already in exsistence to see what aspects of the site work well and which ones should be avoided. This greatly helps to lay the ground work for your site's architecture. The benefit of this research is to help you avoid making the same mistakes your competitors made with their sites or to capitalize on the aspects that work well. The point to this research is to ensure that your site will be among the best in its class.
Development —
Once we have decided upon the basic architecture and color scheme to your site, I can then begin working on developing the graphics and structure of your site. Here, again, the more information you can supply to me, the less time it will take for me to develop your site's graphics — which will save you money in the end. Having items such as photos, company logos and graphics, and as much text information as you can gather together will greatly expedite the development of your site and save you more money.
However, if you are starting from scratch you don't need to fear. I have well over 10 years of experience designing graphics for web use and can work with you to develop your own custom graphics. I can also serve you as a copywriter to help develop the body copy (text information) of your site if you have none to provide.
During the entire process, I will send you frequent updates for your approval. You have complete control over the direction of your site as it's being built before your eyes.
